The team is responsible for turning this data into actionable insights that allows our stakeholders to make data-driven decisions and create values to our business, customers and partners.

The Data Scientist will work closely with our data engineering, data analysis, backend and frontend engineering, product design, business strategy and marketing teams to make decisions on how we should invest in specific data-driven platforms and products.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Analyze data in order to understand performance and behavior of the Samsung cloud service operations
  • Help us innovate and develop new AI technologies by collaborating with the cloud operations team and other development teams across Samsung to improve the customers satisfaction across the world
  • Work on complex issues where analyzing customer situation or business data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables
  • Exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results; generate data reports and business insights using the latest ML technology
  • Develop mathematical models for forecasting and defining the optimal strategy to drive for future growth, developing ETL and data sources for the related data driven operations
Skills and Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent professional field
  • 2+ years of industry experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in data scientist role building and deploying ML/AI models or hands on experience developing deep learning models
  • Experience writing code in Python, Java with documentation for reproducibility
  • Expertise in Python using e.g. SciKit-Learn, Pandas, Tensor flow, Keras, Deep Learning Framework etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with various AWS services (EC2, S3, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, Redshift etc.)
  • Experience with Airflow, EKS, EMR, Redshift, Kubernetes
  • Strong communication and team working skills
Bonus Skills
  • DevOps experiences: such as create build & install scripts, terraform, UNIX-based systems management, release management, production monitoring, etc.
  • Knowledge of Azure, Google Cloud, Google Analytics
  • Experience with Tableau data source and dashboard creation
